The 2nd ADRION Annual Event ‘Building Bridges of Cooperation in the Adriatic and Ionian Region’ was held on the 6th of May 2019 in Budva, Montenegro. The event was organized back-to-back with the 4th EUSAIR Annual Forum under the auspices of the Programme’s Montenegrin Presidency, from 6-8th of May 2019, Budva, Montenegro.
The meeting opened with welcome speeches of Ms. Ivana Glišević Đurović, Deputy Chief Negotiator – National IPA Coordinator European Integration Office, Montenegro and His Excellency Luca Zelioli, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Montenegro. The key aspects of the ADRION Programme and the importance of the cooperation in the region was given by Mr. Lodovico Gherardi, ADRION Managing Authority, Mr. Giuseppe Di Paola, EUSAIR Coordinator, DG REGIO – European Commission and Ms. Barbara Di Piazza, Head of ADRION Joint Secretariat.
The participants had the opportunity to hear the experiences and achievements of the projects as well as the key needs and the perspective of further development of the region during the three panel discussions involving ADRION project representatives in the field of transport, Blue growth, and sustainable tourism.
The focus of the 2nd ADRION Annual Event was the launch of the ADRION 3rd Call for Proposals, bringing the details of the four topics of the call in expert’s keynotes and presentations by ADRION Joint Secretariat.
