The 3rd Stakeholders Meeting and HarmoNIA Workshop took place last week, on the 22-24th of September, in Patras, Greece. Both the meeting and the workshop ended with great success for all participants involved!

During the partners’ workshop, work package leaders presented all the work that has been done so far within each package, as well as the necessary steps that need to be taken within the next few months in order to fulfill HarmoNIA’s goals. All partners had the chance to discuss issues and difficulties they may have encountered so far and solutions/ideas were provided through brainstorming.

The Stakeholders meeting that followed on the 24th brought together a plethora of participants both from the private and public sector. Knowledge was shared on various topics ranging from local issues- such as the way the Port Authority of Patras deals with emergency marine pollution, to regional ones-such as the really interesting talk given from the Municipality of Durres on the current situation of marine pollution in Albania. Important synergies with other spatial planning initiatives such as the PORTODIMARE project were also presented in an effort to share knowledge on all related projects that are currently taking place in the ADRION region. Towards the end of the day the Data Portal and Geoportal – the two HarmoNIA products- were presented to the audience which got a first glimpse of their potential!

All in all, we hope all participants enjoyed the meeting and their stay in Patras and we hope to see everybody during the final meeting in Trieste!
